Wind Data Analysis
Wind
measurement is the first step in determining the wind potential of an
area. Its proper conduct and analysis is critical because it is the
basis of
estimating the sustainability and return of the investment. The
report of an analysis of wind data includes: - assessing
the technical completeness of the measuring masts based on ESYD
Regulations and IEC-61400-12-1 directive - determining
the quality of data, correcting and eliminating of errors that have to
do with
damage to measurement instruments, interference signals, etc. -
analysis of wind measurements to determine the
quality of the wind (turbulence, shear) and estimation of the mean
wind
velocity profile and direction. - correlation if possible with other measurements of longer periods in order to accurately estimate the statistical distribution of the speed and direction of wind. ![]() |
